Allan
was recently selected for BBC Radio 3's New Generation Artists scheme. In recital,
he has appeared at St John’s Smith Square and the Wigmore Hall in recitals with
Angelika Kirchschlager and Graham Johnson. In the 2007-2008 season Allan will
make his debut for Glyndebourne Festival Opera as 'Albert Herring'.

Grimson Martene
made her Wigmore Hall debut in 2003 and her other recital engagements include
St. John's Smith Square for the Rosenblatt Series. Her recent engagements have
included Brahms Requiem
under Sir David Willcocks at the Royal Albert Hall and concerts with the Orchestra
of the Age of Enlightenment.

George
Humphreys was born in Oxford, and was educated at Christ Church Cathedral School,
Wellington College, and St. John's College, Cambridge, where he read music and
was a Choral Scholar. His Operatic work has included the roles of 'Collatinus'
in Britten's Rape of Lucretia, 'Balstrode' in Britten's Peter Grimes,
'Masetto' in British Youth Opera's production of Don Giovanni, and 'Papageno'
in a production of The Magic Flute in Palestine. He also performed in Graham
Vick's production of Britten's Curlew River, the first full-scale opera
to be performed at The BBC Proms.

| Rebecca
Jones
Rebecca
completed her studies at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg in September 2005
where she was a pupil of Thomas Riebl. While a student there, she was invited
to perform the Balcom Concerto for viola and cello with the Universität Mozarteum
Orchestra under Dennis Russell Davies. This performance, part of Salzburg’s ‘Mozartwoche’,
was broadcast on Austrian national radio. Before going to Salzburg, Rebecca was
a student of Wen Zhou Li and Roger Bigley at the RNCM, where she was awarded a
distinction for her professional performance diploma. She also won a Concerto
Prize, giving her the opportunity to perform the Bartok viola concerto with the
RNCM symphony orchestra. In addition, Rebecca has been successful in national
and international competitions including second prize in the Texaco Young Musician
of Wales, fourth prize in the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and
the Bernard Shore Scholarship for viola. She also received a ‘star award’ from
the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and plays with a Finkel bow bought by the
Myra Hess Trust. Rebecca is a keen chamber musician and is a member of the Callino
String Quartet. The Quartet has performed in five international festivals and
has recorded a disc of Ian Wilson quartets for commercial release. Rebecca has
also enjoyed collaborating with such acclaimed musicians as Edgar Meyer, double
bass, Gilbert Kalish, piano and cellist Richard Lester of the Florestan Trio.
Rebecca also plays with the Camerata Salzburg and performed with them as principal
viola in the Wiener Konzerthaus. |

Lane Simon
Lane is currently in great demand as a chamber musician, performing regularly
at major venues and festivals across the UK. Performances have taken him to Wigmore
Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, St. John's Smith Square, St. George's
Bristol and Bridgewater Hall, Manchester. He has also performed in Aberystwyth
Musicfest and the King's Lynn, Ryedale, Brighton, Deal and Honiton festivals.

Karina's
recent opera roles include 'Third Lady' in Die Zauberflöte with Opera North;
'Sara' in Jonathan Dove's Tobias and the Angel for the Young Vic and Oundle
Festival; 'Witch' in Macbeth and covering 'Rosina' in Il Barbiere di
Siviglia for Scottish Opera. In 2008 she will sing the roles of 'Nymph' in
Rusalka and 'Wowkle' in Fanciulla del West for Grange Park Opera.
Karina has given recitals at the Purcell Room London, Ripon Cathedral, and St
Martin-in-the-Fields; This summer she also returns to the Oundle International
Festival for two recitals with Simon Lane.

Quartet
The
Navarra Quartet was selected for representation by YCAT (Young Concert Artists'
Trust) and has been awarded both 1st Prize in the 'Premio Vittorio Gui' in Florence
and 2nd Prize in the 'Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition'. Future
plans include their debut at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, a BBC Radio 3 'Beethoven
Plus' concert at LSO St. Lukes, and several appearances at London's Wigmore Hall
as well as recitals in Germany, Italy, Africa, the Netherlands, Australia, and
Sweden.

Butt Philip
David
was born and brought up in Wells in Somerset and began his musical training as
a chorister at Peterborough Cathedral. He has been a member of Liverpool Metropolitan
and Manchester Cathedral Choirs and broadcasts regularly on the radio with the
BBC Daily Service Singers. He is also a founder member and Associate Music Director
of the Liverpool Schola Cantorum with whom he has toured England and Latvia. He
studied for four years at the Royal Northern College of Music with Peter Alexander
Wilson, appearing in the college’s productions of Don Giovanni, The
Rake’s Progress, La Cenerentola, and La Rondine. Awards include
the 2004 Bessie Cronshaw Song Cycle Prize, the 2006 John Cameron Prize for Lieder
(both RNCM), the 2006 Elena Gerhardt Lieder Prize and in 2007 the prestigious
Richard Lewis/Jean Shanks Award (both RAM). He has appeared in oratorio and recital
all around the country, recent performances include Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden
Gesellen with the Blackburn Symphony Orchestra, a concert of Duke Ellington’s
sacred music with the Royal Academy of Music Big Band and recitals with pianist
Simon Lane in Bristol’s Colston Hall and London’s Wigmore Hall. David is currently
in the final year of the postgraduate opera course at the Royal Academy of Music
where he studies with Glenville Hargreaves and Iain Ledingham. For Royal Academy
Opera he has performed the roles of 'Phrygian' in Dardanus,
'Ebn Hakia' in Lolanta, 'Betto' in Gianni Schicchi and 'Junius'
in The Rape of Lucretia. He also recently appeared as 'Mr Gedge' in Albert
Herring for British Youth Opera. His studies at the RAM are generously supported
by the Baroness De Turckheim vocal scholarship, a Sybil Tutton Award (MBF) and
the Josephine Baker Trust. |
